Join us at the Conference Rethinking Ethics – Reimagining Technology on 2-4 October 2024 at the University of Twente!

Co-organized by ESDiT and 4TU Ethics (Centre for Ethics and Technology), the Conference aims to investigate what philosophy and ethics of technology mean today. It will gather scholars working on philosophy and ethics of technology and include a variety of topics, such as conceptual analysis, reflections on methods for studying and evaluating technology, case-studies in the ethics of (disruptive) technologies, sustainable technology, praxis-oriented approaches geared towards design and social implications, and more.

The Call for Abstract is Open

Be part of the Conference Programme! The Call for Abstracts will be open until 24 April 2024. We welcome submissions for individual papers, panel sessions, roundtables, or workshops.
Besides a general track on philosophy and ethics of technology, the conference will be structured around 7 thematic tracks:

Track 2: Bodies, Minds, & Subjects
Track 3: Concepts & Values
Track 4: Disruptive Technology & Health
Track 5: Geo-Technology & Bio-Technology
Track 6: Methodological Issues, Questions & Practices

Track 8: Other

Deadline for Abstract submissions: 24 April 2024

Notification of Acceptance: 17 May 2024

All submissions are subject to blind peer-review.


Registration

Registration will open on 17 May 2024. The registration fee will be €200 (early bird) or €150 for students and scholars from developing nations. This fee includes drinks and bites (day 1), a conference dinner (day 2), as well as refreshments and lunches (all days).
